PDF to Excel Converter

Extract tables and text from a PDF into an editable Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) — entirely in your browser, nothing uploaded.

or drag & drop PDF here

Honest note: PDFs don’t store real table structure, so columns are detected from text positions. Simple, well-aligned tables (statements, price lists, reports) convert well; heavily merged or designed layouts may need cleanup in Excel. Scanned PDFs have no text layer — use Image to Text (OCR) first.

How to Convert PDF to Excel

  1. Select your PDF (bank statement, invoice list, report…).
  2. Click Convert to Excel — rows and columns are detected from the text layout on your device.
  3. Download the .xlsx — each PDF page becomes its own worksheet, ready to edit, sort and sum.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No — extraction and spreadsheet creation run fully in your browser. Nothing is stored or transmitted, which matters for financial documents.

Why are some cells merged or shifted?

PDFs only store positioned text, not table structure. We rebuild columns from spacing — unusual layouts can land in the wrong column and need a quick fix in Excel.

Will numbers work in formulas?

Yes — plain numeric values are written as numbers, so SUM and other formulas work right away. Values with currency symbols stay text; use Excel’s “Text to Columns” or find-replace to strip symbols.

My scanned PDF converts to nothing.

Scans are images without a text layer. Run the pages through our Image to Text tool first.
