PDF to Word Converter
Turn a PDF into an editable Word document (.doc) right in your browser. Free, private — your file never leaves your device.
or drag & drop PDF here
Note: this converter extracts the text of your PDF into an editable Word document. Simple documents convert very well; complex layouts, tables and images are not preserved. Scanned PDFs have no text layer — use our Image to Text (OCR) tool for those.
How to Convert PDF to Word
- Select your PDF or drag & drop it above.
- Click Convert to Word — text is extracted page by page on your device.
- Download the .doc file and open it in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice, fully editable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript — we never receive or store your document.
Will the Word file look exactly like my PDF?
Text content and paragraph flow are preserved; exact fonts, columns, tables and images are not. For text documents (letters, essays, contracts) the result is immediately editable and clean.
Why is my converted file empty?
Your PDF is probably a scan (photos of pages) with no text layer. Run it through our Image to Text tool instead.
Does .doc open in modern Word?
Yes — Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice all open it; use “Save As” to convert to .docx if you prefer.
