How to Create a Strong Password

  1. Choose a length — 16 characters or more is recommended for important accounts.
  2. Keep all four character types enabled for maximum strength.
  3. Click Generate Password, then Copy and save it in a password manager.
  4. Use a different password for every account — never reuse them.

Is This Password Generator Safe?

Yes. Passwords are generated with your browser’s built-in Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), the same cryptographic randomness used by password managers. Generation happens entirely on your device — nothing is transmitted to or stored on our servers, and we have no way to see what was generated.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should my password be?

At least 12 characters; 16+ for email, banking and anything with payment details. Each extra character multiplies the time needed to crack it.

What makes a password strong?

Length first, then variety: mixing uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols. Random beats memorable — that’s what password managers are for.

Should I exclude look-alike characters?

Only if you’ll ever type the password by hand (e.g. a Wi-Fi key). It slightly reduces strength, so leave it off otherwise.

How often should I change passwords?

Immediately after any breach notice. Otherwise, focus on unique + strong rather than frequent rotation.
